Hiplife artiste Omanhene Pozoh has died, his wife Tracy Toulon has confirmed to westsidepromo.blogspot.com
The former member of hiplife group,
Nananom, passed during the early hours of Wednesday at the 37 Military Hospital where he has been on admission for some time now.
The ‘Kyenkyen bi adi me awu’ hit singer has been in and out of hospital between November 2015 and February 2016 and was admitted after his condition deteriorated in April this year.
His family said they were struggling to pay his medical bills and were praying that he will be fit enough for a surgery doctors said needed to be performed which was to cost GH¢30,000.
The family explained back then that they are only counting on God and the benevolence of society to help with the bills but it is unclear if the family was able to raise the money.
Westsidepromo.blogspot.com reported when news broke about his condition, the visit and a cash donation of an undisclosed amount by the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO).
Omanhene Pozo was originally part of Nananom, one of the very first hiplife groups in Ghana which were vibrant in the late 1990s.
After leaving the group, he pursued a solo career working with highlife greats like Awurama Badu, Alhaji K. Frimpong and C. K. Mann.

LORD PAPER REACTS TO GAY RUMOURS AFTER PREMIERING 'PONO'

Lord Paper has premiered his much anticipated single titled ‘Pono’. The rap joint has the North K act reacting to the uproar that followed after he premiered his ‘Awurama’ video some weeks back.

MEEK MILL & THE GAME WAGE WAR ON INSTAGRAM

Meek Mill thought The Game’s jabs at him in his “92 Bars” diss track were corny, especially because he used it to promote his forthcoming album, 1992.
The Compton, California rapper, who has become somewhat of a modern street legend, shouldn’t need to resort to these antics to sell albums, right?
The since-deleted Instagram post shows Meek and his girlfriend Nicki Minaj. The Philly rapper is holding up two birds mocking The Game’s suggestion that he was going to give Minaj the “pool stick.”
The Game wasted no time in firing back to the original Twitter Fingers and posted a picture of himself as Nicki Minaj’s love interest in her “Pills and Potions” video. “The last time Nicki held a REAL NIGGA,” he writes for the caption along with calling Meek Mill a snitch and a rat.
Meek Mill took to the comments section to warn the Compton rapper not to use those terms lightly.

EMMY AWARDS RATINGS HIT NEW LOW

The 68th Primetime Emmy Awards last night on ABC saw big repeat wins for Game of Thrones and Veep in the Outstanding Drama and Comedy Series categories and a strong second stint as host for Jimmy Kimmel.
Television’s biggest night also saw itself once again facing off against Sunday Night Football on NBC where the Minnesota Viking beat the Green Bay Packers 17-14.
And the results weren’t exactly a repeat for the Emmys but still steady with 2015.
With a 8.4/13 result in metered market ratings, last night’s 8 – 11 PM shindig from the well protected Microsoft Theater in downtown L.A. was down just over 3% from last year. That small decline does make the 68th Primetime Emmys the lowest rated ever in early numbers. The Andy Sandberg-hosted 67th Primetime Emmys previously held that distinction.
Broadcast on Fox last year, the September 20 2015 Emmys went on to snag a 3.6 rating among adults 18-49 and 11.9 million total viewers – also an all-time low.
For the NFL and NBC, Sunday looks to be a win as the game was for the Vikings, but SNF took a hit from last year and last week. The primetime part of last night’s game at U.S. Bank Stadium scored a 13.7/22 in MM numbers. That’s down 18% in the early results from the comparable September 20, 2015 gridiron match-up where the Packers beat the Seattle Seahawks 27 – 17.
Last night’s game dipped 9% in MM ratings from the SNF kickoff of last week where the New England Patriots beat the Arizona Cardinals 23-21. For you real statheads, the SNF decline from Week 1 to Week 2 this year is 7% greater in MM numbers than last year – something to consider overall. The September 11 Patriots vs. Cardinals game went on to hit 23.1 million viewers on a much less competitive night – was down 16% from the SNF kickoff of 2015 in viewers for NBC and the NFL.

Lord Kenya Former “rap heavyweight champion,” Lord Kenya has confessed to being a “better weed smoker than his colleague rapper and now Pastor, Lazy Dog.

Lord Kenya now turned an evangelist revealed that he was addicted to alcohol for about 14 years before God saved him and he became a minister.
He said he is praying for a lot of Ghanaian entertainers whom he used to smoke and engaged in all the bad practices with for God to deliver them from it.
In an interview with Abusua FM, Lord Kenya said “I was an alcoholic for about 14 years…I did cocaine for about 11 or 12 years...One way or the other, I started selling my cars and properties. I lost most of my money and when I look back now, I wish I had seen Christ earlier.”
“It is a fact that some entertainers are doing drugs. We were doing it together. I was doing weed and cocaine with some of them and most of them are now doing it. They are still in there,” Lord Kenya disclosed.
Evangelist Lord Kenya, who revealed recently that some Ghanaian celebrities may be called to do the work of God in the not so distant future says he has most of them on his prayer list.
He said, “I used to smoke wee with Lazy Dog, but he was not a good smoker…he comes and goes while I spent my day at the wee smoking base.”

Veteran actor Papa Nii who is in his fifties says he wants someone to marry.
The actor known for his big words in an interview with Multimedia’s MzGee told her that he has been single for about five years now.
According to him, he has not had another wife after he walked out of his 30-year-old marriage five years ago.
Speaking on why he had to divorce his wife, Papa Nii who was not willing to disclose the cause of the breakup said it has nothing to do with his acting career.
According to him, the attitude of couples result in most marriage breakups but not the occupation of the partners. He continued that they were incompatible so they had to go their separate ways.
The actor real name Pattington Papa Nii Papafio further told MzGee that the fact that his marriage to the mother of all his children did not work means the next one will also collapse.
People have gone to first world war and failed, second world war and failed, third world war and failed but others have also gone to first world and failed but succeeded at the second world war. Even others have succeeded after third world war so nothing shows that once you’ve failed, you will fail forever.”

KOREDE BELLO DRAGGED IN THE MUD OVER FAILED DEAL

Singer, Korede Bello, is not having a nice time after his name was has been dragged in the mud over failed agreement for a show he was scheduled for in Zurich, on October 1st.
The event organizer, Larry DJ Jolly, called out the singer and his manager, Casper, after they allowed him to spend some amount of personal money to fly their UK tour manager, Akinolu Jekins, for a meeting but failed to keep their own part of the agreement.
This is not the first time Larry will get disappointed by Nigerian singers as his first experience was with Tripple MG signee, Tekno, and with the latest involving Mavin Records signee, Korede, out of anger he has promised not to do business with Nigerian artistes for now as he hopes to channel his money into his studies.

WHY MORNING SEX IS GOOD FOR YOU

We all know the benefits of sex: the endorphins, the exercise, the connection. Aside from the existence of STDs and pregnancy scares, there’s really no downfall to it.
Whether it’s hot and heavy or passionate and tender, there are not many critics of the act … a rarity in a generation of online comments and forums.
For 20-somethings, it’s an act we indulge in an average of 118 days out of the year, according to The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction. That’s almost one-third of the year, or better stated, every three days.
While most of us can only wish we were having sex every three days, we can all agree that our 20s are probably the best and most prolific time to be hitting the sack.
By 24, it’s reported that 92% of young adults have had sex and, no doubt, have liked it.
In a world full of hate and opposition, it may be one of the few things most people can agree on. If we were to unite the world, it would best be done under sex. Because sex is good. Sex is great. And according to research, sex is better for you in the morning.
According to Dr. Debby Herbenick, an American research scientist and author of Because It Feels Good, individuals who partake in morning sex are healthier and happier people. As an immunity booster, its health benefits last throughout the day, contributing to that “healthy glow” your co-workers keep referring to.
So if you’re feeling a bit stressed, sick or ugly, find someone. And don’t be embarrassed — morning sex is probably the only time you can pardon the morning breath enough to be completely aroused.
You look hotter
We’ve all had that after sex “glow,” but it’s not just because the blood is still rushing to our heads. According to Herbenick, sex releases boosted levels of estrogen, which in turn, make your skin and hair stronger and healthier. Increased levels of estrogen and testosterone have known ageing benefits that keep frisky people looking youthful longer.
However, the most tantalising evidence was reported by Women’s Health Magazine on a study done at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital in Scotland. In this study, a panel of judges viewed people from a one way mirror and guessed their ages. Those who had a steady sexual partner, and who were having sex regularly (about four times a week), were viewed as 7 to 12 years younger.
This is due to the amount of estrogen and testosterone released during sex, and the benefits on the skin and hair as reported earlier.
Not to mention, sex burns calories. According to Daily Mail, an hour of sex burns the equivalent amount of calories as a 30 minute jog. Within an hour, men burn an average of 240 calories and women 180. Four times a day and you’re okay to eat a Big Mac. Whoever thought life could be so good? Sex and Big Macs?
It’s a stress reliever
There’s nothing like a good morning shag to calm your nerves before an early meeting or interview (not to mention you’ll be looking your best). We can all agree that sex has the distinct advantage of helping our troubles melt away along with our inhibitions.
Yvonne Ulrich-Lai, PhD and James Herman, PhD of psychiatry and behavioural neuroscience at University of Cincinnati conducted experiments in order to find the results of stress levels after one partook in pleasurable activities. They found that after partaking in sex or comfort food, the reduced-stress effects continued for at least seven days, suggesting that sex produces long-term benefits.
These benefits are known to reduce the rate of strokes and heart attacks. So if you’re getting old and have high blood pressure, talk to your partner about hitting the sack … for your health at least.
Laura Berman, Ph.D., an assistant clinical professor of ob-gyn and psychiatry at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, also reported that sex releases endorphins and oxytocin, hormones that activate pleasure centres in the brain. Like a drug, sex sets off certain chemical reactions in the brain that give us feelings of euphoria. Though you never want to become a sex addict, it’s probably safer to frequent the bedroom (safely) than the local street corner.
You’re healthier
For all you prudes refusing to partake in the “animalistic” act, a few times in the bed could actually make you healthier.
According to Herbenick, sex increases levels of IgA, an antibody that helps to fight against infection, keeping frisky people better protected and healthier than those abstaining.
The orgasm has been known for its health benefits for years. Whether partaking in it solo or through someone else, it helps you achieve sounder sleep and that healthy glow we all wish we could exude all day.
It’s no secret that sex is good for you. However, the secret of morning sex is one that should now be exposed and capitalised on as we all look for someone to turn our average morning routines into not just an exciting and pleasurable activity, but a healthy one that could help us all live longer, happier and more beautiful lives.

PASTOR KISS CHURCH MEMBER

The head pastor of Faith Words Ministry accused of fondling and kissing a church member during prayers has been charged with indecent assault.
Edmond Karikari Adjei, 40, who is said to have conducted his nefarious act at Nii Boi Town, Accra appeared before an Accra Circuit Court and pleaded not guilty.
The court presided over by Mrs Ruby Naa Adjeley Quaison has admitted Pastor Adjei to bail of GHȼ10,000.00 with two sureties one to be a public servant earning not less than GHȼ1,000.00.
He is expected to reappear on September 26.
Prosecuting Detective Inspector Kofi Atimbire said the complainant is an 18- year old student residing at Chantan with her mother and other siblings.
Detective Inspector Atimbire said the victim and her mother are members of the accused person’s church at Nii Boi Town.
On July 26, after closing from a prayer meeting, Pastor Adjei told the victim’s mother that he had had a revelation about the victim and requested that he meets him.
Based on that on August 30, this year, the accused person called the victim and her mother again over the revelation.
The prosecution said on the same day, the victim went to the accused person house to see him flowing instructions from her mother.
During their meeting, the prosecution said accused person indicated that he had had another revelation showing that she had abdominal pains.
Accused therefore brought out anointing oil and asked the complainant to sit by him in a three sofa chair and she obliged.
The prosecution said Pastor Adjei folded the complainant’s sweater up and pulled her trousers downwards and administered the anointed oil on her navel and abdomen.
According to the prosecutor, the accused person lifted the complainant from the sofa chair, held her tight, fondled and kissed her.
A report was made to the Police and Pastor Adjei was arrested. In his caution statement, he admitted the offence.

MAN JAILED FOR HAVING SEX WITH DAUGHTER

Abubakar Bediako, a father of five, was on Thursday sentenced to four years imprisonment for having sex with his 16 year old daughter at Olebu near Amasaman in Accra.
The 36 year old driver pleaded guilty to the charge of incest.
The court convicted him on his own plea.
However the sentence was greeted with tears from the convict, his first daughter whom he defiled, and his wife as he was whisked away.
The court, presided over by Mrs Ruby Naa Akweley Quaison, handed down the minimum sentence on the convict.
The victim, who got pregnant as a result of the act, has however lost the pregnancy, the Ghana News Agency has gathered.
Prosecuting, Detective Inspector Kofi Atimbire said the complainant, mother of the victim, is a cleaner residing at Olebu, near Amasaman. The convict is married to the complainant and they have five children including the victim.
Detective Inspector Atimbire said on June 29, this year, the complainant detected that the victim’s menses had delayed so she conducted a pregnancy test which revealed that the victim was three months pregnant.
When the complainant quizzed the victim, she disclosed that it was her father who impregnated her and that the accused started having sex with her since November last year.
According to the prosecutor the accused had sex with her anytime the complainant went on night duties.
The complainant reported the matter to the police and Bediako was nabbed on August 4 and he was cautioned. Bediako has admitted the offence. GNA

WHY JANET JACKSON'S NIPPLE STILL MATTERS

It's been 10 years since Janet Jackson's infamous "wardrobe malfunction" during the Super Bowl in front of millions of CBS viewers, yet anyone who owned a television in 2004 can remember the night that a nipple (half) shown on television for 9/16ths of a second made the United States go batsh*t crazy. Behold, the effect of the naked female body.
In case anyone needs a refresher, Jackson and Justin Timberlake were performing a set during the Super Bowl's halftime show. As Timberlake finished singing the words "better have you naked by the end of this song," he reached over and grabbed Jackson's leather and red-lace bustier cup, revealing her breast before she covered it with her hand.
Unfortunately for Janet Jackson, her jewelry-covered nipple would set off a wave of mass hysteria -- now known as "Nipplegate" -- that would taint her image, all-but ban her from the Grammys, permanently embed the term "wardrobe malfunction" into our lexicon and force CBS to pay a $550,000 fine to the FCC.
Ten years after the infamous performance, questions remain. Did anyone actually plan the nip-slip? (Probably.) If so, who? (Unclear.) And why did Jackson bear the brunt of the backlash from the American public and the network while Justin Timberlake was allowed to go on his merry breast-exposing way relatively unscathed in the media?
Marina Cogan's fantastic Jan. 28 feature for ESPN Magazine unpacks some of the mystery surrounding Nipplegate and how it set off such insanity. Some of the most interesting revelations included:
•Jackson's nipple exposure coincided perfectly with the rise of the Parents Television Council (PTC), a conservative group founded nine years earlier, dedicated to campaigning against "indecency" on TV. Michael Powell, then chairman of the FCC told Cogan that "previously ... the FCC received only a handful of indecency complaints a year. It received 540,000 about Janet Jackson's breast."
•The Super Bowl video clip, which went viral before we really knew what viral was, helped inspire YouTube, which launched a year later.
•After the ensuing public outcry, the next six Super Bowl halftime shows exclusively featured middle-aged men. (Womp, womp.)
Despite the fact that anyone who re-watches the clip can tell that Justin Timberlake tugged off Jackson's breastplate, the "nip slip" effectively derailed Jackson's career, getting her blacklisted by Viacom while Timberlake performed at the Grammy Awards and took home two awards just days after the incident. Even Timberlake later admitted that he should have done more to support Jackson, and that sexism and racism likely played a part in the backlash being almost entirely directed at her. He told MTV in 2007:
In my honest opinion now ... I could've handled it better. I'm part of a community that consider themselves artists. And if there was something I could have done in her defense that was more than I realized then, I would have. But the other half of me was like, "Wow. We still haven't found the weapons of mass destruction and everybody cares about this!" ... I probably got 10 percent of the blame, and that says something about society. I think that America's harsher on women. And I think that America is, you know, unfairly harsh on ethnic people.
Jackson simply had the bad luck to be a black woman in possession of a nipple. Even today, we see the policing of women's bodies -- and their breasts in particular -- by media gatekeepers and organizations like the PTC. Women are consistently flagged on Facebook for posting photographs of themselves breastfeeding or portraits of their bodies post-mastectomy, and despite the fact that going topless is not criminalized in New York City, there have been instances where women who have chosen to walk around topless are subject to harassment and even arrest.
It's this cultural atmosphere that inspired filmmaker and activist Lina Esco to make the movie "Free The Nipple," scheduled to be released in June of this year. In a December 2013blog post for The Huffington Post, she pointed out the double standard that exists when it comes to women who choose to expose their own bodies:
When I started my online campaign, Facebook and Instagram banned the photos of topless women that were taken on location, faster than we could put them up. Why can you show public beheadings from Saudi Arabia on Facebook, but not a nipple? Why can you sell guns on Instagram, but yet they will suspend your account for posting the most natural part of a woman's body?
This frustrating reality is one that's not lost on Powell, who feigned outrage over Janet Jackson's nipple for much of 2004. But a decade later, even he is tired of being angry about breasts. "I think we've been removed from this long enough for me to tell you that I had to put my best version of outrage on that I could put on," he told Cogan. "Look, I think [the wardrobe malfunction] was dumb to happen, and they knew the rules and were flirting with them, and my job is to enforce the rules, but, you know, really? This is what we're gonna do?"
Sadly, it seems that the answer to his hypothetical question is still "yes."

HONOUR ME WITH A STATUE - LIWIN

Popular Kumawood actor, Kwadwo Nkansah popularly known as Liwin has called on his fans not to wait for him to die before they honour him.
He has therefore urged them to erect a statue in his honour while he is alive.
The actor said in an interview with Ultimate FM that he would do it for himself if nobody would do that for him.
The comedian cum musician pointed out that he has realised that people are honoured in Ghana only after their death, something he sees as a bad practice.
Liwin stated that popular comedians like the late Bob Santo and Nkomode among others have contributed immensely to the creative arts industry but no monument has been created to celebrate them even after their death.
The actor bemoaned that people may soon forget about the exploits and achievements of these great comedians if nothing is done in their memory so it would be in the interest of the nation to immortalise them by erecting statues for them.
This, according to him, will serve as a motivation to other comedians to work hard and contribute to the development of the creative arts industry in Ghana.
Liwin said the initiative will also serve as a means to preserve the historic antecedents of the comedy industry in Ghana and further entice the younger generation to also develop an interest in comedy.
The Boss Nation CEO said Ghana could also benefit financially from them as it could attract tourists into the nation.
Liwin further explained that he once visited a tourist site in Canada and saw statues of prominent personalities in the world including American President Barack Obama where people pay to see them.

I LIKE SHATTA WALE’S ‘MAHAMA PAPER’ – PREZ MAHAMA REVEALS

President John Mahama has revealed his undying love for Shatta Wale’s smash hit single, ‘Mahama Paper’.
The president, who is an avid follower of Ghana’s entertainment industry, made the disclosure during his Accounting to the People tour in Tema Wednesday.
He commended the dancehall act for “his creativity” and revealed that the first time he heard the song, he inquired who did the song and it was revealed to him that it was Shatta Wale.
The President tried to sing a line or two of Shatta Wale's 'Kakai' song “Shatta Wale come like Kakai” much to the excitement of the teeming party supporters.
President Mahama during an interview on Uniiq FM in August last year, as part of activities, to mark World Youth Day reveal some of his favourites stars in the Ghanaian music and movie industries.
The President mentioned Gyadu Blay-Ambolley, Shasha Marley, Kojo Antwi, John Dumelo, Lil Win, Agya Koo, Wutah, VIP, Emilia Brobbey, Kyeiwaa, Jackie Appiah, as his favourite actors and actresses.
The revelation generated a lot of controversy because some key persons were conspicuously missing from the list.

ADULT PORN WEBSITES BLOCKED IN RUSSIA

Pornhub and YouPorn, the biggest adult websites in the world, have been blocked in Russia. And things have become very odd.
The site has been blocked by the Russian state watchdog Roskomnadzor, which is known in English as the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media. Among other things, that agency is in charge of monitoring the internet and blocking sites that the government doesn’t want to be used.

And the latest sites to fall victim of that are Pornhub and YouPorn, the world’s biggest collections of free pornography. That move began on Tuesday but put in practice previously issued court decisions, according to the Moscow Times, and could be reviewed later.

It isn’t the first time that the agency has blocked Pornhub – doing so in September 2015. And it isn’t the first time that it has been roundly mocked on Twitter for doing so.

And at that time it replied to a message from one Russian citizen asking whether the agency would at least “suggest an alternative” to the popular site.

“Dear Lyolya, as an alternative you can meet someone in real life,” the official account replied on Twitter.

And this time around the account has posted to “internet fans” that the post suggesting people just head outside rather than watching adult websites is still relevant.

That elicited a reply from the original user, who asked Roscomnadzor why it couldn’t “come up with something new?” The agency replied to ask whether it was possible to “enter the same river twice?”

That philosophical remark drew further mockery. The original user, Lyolya, said if the site hadn’t been blocked then the agency could “watch a few videos about that on Pornhub”; another replied to say “You can enter anything twice, you would know that if you hadn’t blocked Pornhub”.

It also retweeted a pots by another Russian user who said that he had followed the agency’s advice, and that as a result he was due to have his wedding soon.

But Pornhub itself has tweeted from its official account to the agency, in an attempt to win it around.

“If we give you a guys Pornhub Premium account, will you un ban Pornhub in Russia?” the account posted. The tweet was retweeted more than 2,000 times.

Both sites remain blocked

BECCA APOLOGISES TO CREATIVE ARTS MINISTER OVER HER RISQUÉ DRESS

Singer, Becca took a big risk with her stylist and designer for the 2016 Glitz Style Awards on Saturday night and ended up apologizing to the Deputy Minister for Tourism, Culture and Arts.

When Becca got on stage to present an award, she suggested that she knew her ‘mother’ Madam Dzifa Abla Gomashie would kill her for the revealing dress she was wearing.

She added that she had never worn such a risqué dress before and that she only found out last minute that was what her designer, Sima Brew had chosen for her.

Becca, therefore, apologised to the Madam Gomashie on stage to forestall any scolding from the Minister.

PAPPY KOJO'S BIOGRAPHY

Jason Gaisie, popularly known as "Pappy Kojo" was born on 13 February 1989 to parents Kofi Badu and Rosemond Gaisie. He was born and raised in Takoradi, in the Western Region. He attended Ridge International School up until 2004, when he left for Italy to be with his mother.

MUSIC CAREER

Pappy Kojo showed his interest and love for music at an early age. He took part in locally organized rap shows where he would rap to Obrafour, Tic Tac, Reggie Rockstone, Lord Kenya etc. His biggest musical influences however are Obrafour, The Shady Aftermath Camp and Michael Jackson. After leaving Ghana for Italy in 2004, his love for rap music grew even greater. He began covering popular songs and posting them on his YouTube channel.
Around the same time, he began recording his own material with some Italian music producers and Ghanaian based music producers. This created a little buzz for the young rapper. Things really kicked off for him in the latter part of 2014 when he collaborated on a smash hit record with Ghanaian superstar Joey B.

Pappy then followed with his first official single 'Realer No', also featuring Joey B, which has been making waves ever since its release. He went to South Africa with Joey B to perform at the Big Brother finale.
He was nominated thrice at the 2015 Ghana Music Awards and won an award for the Hip-Hop Song of the year. He has also been nominated for the Best Newcomer in Africa for the AFRIMMA Awards.

He has released three singles since then. Ay3 Late, 2 Raw ft Edem and Deja Vu ft Jiggy. Things are looking bright for the young rapper as he has his eyes set on conquering the global music industry.

PROPHET WEDS ACTRESS SORAYA AT PRIVATE CEREMONY

Ghanaian actress Soraya Mensah over the weekend got married to a Ghanaian prophet called Albert Addai-Sarfo at a private ceremony.
The event took place at the Royal Richester Hotel in Accra on Saturday, September,2016.
Among the top entertainment personalities who attended the ceremony were Nadia Buari, Becca, Klint The Drunk, Aboki For Christ and some members of the clergy.
Soraya was earlier rumoured to have been married to a businessman Don Pee, but was later reported divorced.

In 2014, she came out to deny ever marrying him.
According to her, she was in a serious relationship with Don P which ended up with a baby girl but they were never married.
Soraya is recognised as one of Ghana’s talented actresses, but she has not been consistent with her appearance in movies. She has been on and off.

BASKETMOUTH ROBBED AT GUN POINT

Popular Nigerian Comedian Bright Okpocha, better known by his stage name Basketmouth has been reportedly robbed at gun point at his resident in Nigeria in the wee hours of Wednesday September 7, 2016.

Fellow Nigerian comedian Bovi posted on his Instagram Page this morning that Comedian, Basketmouth and his family were robbed at gun point at his residence in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. According to him while the robbers carted away with several valuables, no one was hurt during the 2-hour operation.

According to the eye witnesses of his neighbors, Basketmouth was robbed this morning in his home in lekki phase 1 between the hours of 2am and 4am, 7th of September 2016. He and his family were held at gun point while the sad episode lasted. Nobody was hurt. Valuables were taken including the cctv device. A report has been made at the police station. He can't be reached at the moment but will be back on as soon as possible".

HEAVY STORM AT ACCRA COAST

Heavy storm destroys canoes, fishing equipment at Accra’s coast
A heavy storm along the coast of Accra has destroyed scores of canoes and other fishing equipment.

The incident which occurred around
5:30PM on Saturday, is said to have affected fishing activities along the coastline between Jamestown and the Osu Castle.

In a separate development, residents of Fuveme in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region have also once again been hit by high waves which destroyed several properties and displaced most of them.
The MP for Anlo, Clement Kofi Humado however, is not in favour of a sea defence wall as a solution to the rampant tidal waves.

LIL WINE STRIPS-OFF ON STAGE

Kumawood actor cum musician Kwadwo Nkansah aka Lil Win has expressed his anger at some happenings at the just ended Shatta Wale For Peace Concert in Kumasi.

Explaining why angry, Lil Win told Sammy Flex on Pluzz FM that Shatta Wale’s manager prevented him from performing at the event even though he was billed to perform.

According to the Kumawood actor, he together with his team was there and ready to perform even before his schedule but was denied access to the stage.

Realising that they weren’t going to allow him on stage, he had to force his way onto the stage to perform regardless. Lil Win continued that even his presence on stage was not enough to cause them to allow him to have a smooth performance.
I eventually had to perform without my songs because the DJ refused to play them. Then they put off my microphone so I had to start dashing out my clothes to the fans who were dying to see me on stage," Lil Win stated.

However, Shatta Wale’s manager, Chris Conney, has denied witnessing such incident but promised that he will try and get in touch with Lil Win’s management to settle the matter.
