Van Vicker has finally broken his silence after the husband of his manager Dr. Clarice Ford-Kulah accused her of sleeping around with him [Van Vicker]. The husband claimed he had enough evidence to back up his accusations even though he was yet to release any. Van’s manager, Dr. Clarice Ford-Kulah days after the accusation finally broke her silence about the allegations leveled against her claiming she was not having an affair with the actor and neither has she ever slept with him. In a media statement, she categorically denied the affair and explained that her husband had serious security issues and kept harassing every male friend in her life. A few days back, the husband of Dr. Clarice, Dr. Bartum Kulah who is based in Atlanta Georgia opened up on the allegation, describing it as “unguided”. The businessman took to social media to apologize to the Van Vicker and his family for the harm he could have caused them during the period. Touching on the subject, the star actor who currently promoting his yet to be released Black Monkey film elaborated on the effects of the accusation on his family; “It definitely has some ripple effect on my wife and on my kids, because my kids will go to school and their colleagues will tell them ‘they are saying this about your father. Same way when the ebola story broke.” He told pluzzfm. “These are things that come with the business and it’s very negative. All I can do is speak to my kids and let them know what the story is and whatever they hear about Daddy, they shouldn’t take it. They should ask Daddy what it is and whatever Daddy tell them that’s the truth and they should stick to that story. “It has affected me in a number of ways but I’m glad that Dr. Kulah realized his mistake and he came out to apologize and that’s where we are and that’s where I will leave it.” As to whether he will continue working with Dr. Clarice, Van concluded; “Well, I did tell her to go make amends with his husband just to make sure everything is in place because I don’t want a situation where he comes back again and says whatever he said he’s retracting it and now he is saying this. And I know the media guys will love that regardless of what he said earlier. The media guys will still love it. So I told her to go settle it and at the right moment we can start working again.”

ADVICE TO MY YOUNGER SELF – D BLACK

If you could advice your younger self, what will that advice be?
I would probably advice my young Desmond to pay more attention in class when the teachers are teaching Twi and Ga languages in class; because I wish I could touch the masses more than I’m doing right now with my music. I’m limited now because I can’t make music in the Twi and Ga languages. I’m part Ga and part Twi and I wish could speak and understand those languages better.
Won’t you agree you have done a lot better than most artists even though you don’t rap in Twi or Ga considering the nominations and awards you have won?
In the beginning I use to count my nominations. I have like 67 nominations but I have only twelve awards; because it’s difficult to compete against Hiplife artists in Ghana. I have Channel O, BETs nominations but I have won Ghana Music Awards, I have been to every kind of award show but when you compete against people making music in the local languages it’s crazy.
It’s difficult to win awards in Ghana when you are in the same category with Obrafour, Sarkodie and others rapping and singing in Twi.
So I have only two Ghana Music Awards in my entire career but I have like 5 4Syte TV Awards, I have a Channel O too but because the music I make has been so successful people don’t realize I rap in English.
I try as much as I can to sound like I’m doing this for the people but you might now realize ‘This guy is rapping in English and it’s on heavy rotation. It’s fine though because I make music for the people and not awards. I’m almost 30 years old and still touring.

MZVEE DISCLOSES CHALLENGES SHE WENT THROUGH BEFORE MEETING RICHIE

Ghana’s 2016 BET rep, MzVee in a latest interview has disclosed she wished Ghana would have supported her a little bit more.
The Lynx Entertainment act, speaking from LA said;
“I definitely had support from my true fans but there were people that didn’t agree with the situation but at the end of the day you cannot get everyone to be in the same boat with you. It’s like that in every aspect of life. That said I would have wished people supported me much more because when I came to LA other countries were supporting their people and I hope in the future Ghana will do more. But I think I got the support I needed from my true fans the tip toers. I’m happy with the turn out.
Talking about the contribution of Lynx Entertainment to her life, the Hold Me Now hitmaker disclosed;
“They took me from a place where I was not the happiest person and I was messed up and I had my fair share of deceit but they molded me into the brand that I am today, I say a very thank you to them. They are the reason why I’m here. If they didn’t root for me I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
